Himiko: Memories of the Sun Godness

On May 20, 2016, the ancient pageant Himiko: Memories of the Sun Goddess (2014 Suntory Hall production), had its overseas premiere in Singapore’s premier arts and culture complex, Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay.

This performance was the highlight event in the Super Japan—Japanese Festival of Arts, which commemorated the 50th year since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Japan. The capacity audience was variegated, including a crowd of Singaporeans, visitors from nearby countries, as well as Japanese residents in Singapore.
